Artist: Bos Important Added Info: The poster had approximately 2 1/2" at the bottom that was very neatly trimmed off. We have seen another example of this poster and it was trimmed in exactly the same way! We believe it said the word "RELIEF", which meant that it was a 3-D movie. Obviously, the poster was trimmed in that area because it was used by a theater that did not show the movie in 3-D. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept this significant defect (although, as we said, we have seen another poster that looks the same, and it may be that all or most of these posters were trimmed in this way). Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 19 1/4" [36 x 49 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had pretty minor fold wear. Its bottom border was trimmed off. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster replaced the missing bottom border with blank paper (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
