An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Leslie Nielsen was a Canadian actor from the 1950s to 2010. He is best remembered for his starring role in Forbidden Planet, and although he was a serious actor for decades, he resurfaced in the 1980s with a comic turn in Airplane (and many other films after including Mel Brooks' Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Spy Hard, Wrongfully Accused, Scary Movies 3 and 4, and more). He passed away in 2010 at the age of 84. A joker until the end, his gravestone has the epitaph "Let 'er rip", which refers to his frequent pranks involving flatulence. Some of his other movies include: the Naked Gun series, Repossessed, and Creepshow Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Leslie Nielsen! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Condition: very good to fine.
