Then paved it with bullets and lives!"; "A thousand miles of danger... a thousand thrills a mile!"; about pre-Civil War soldiers trying to keep the peace between the pro-slavery and anti-slavery groups in Kansas, and it creates a fictitious group of West Point cadets in the same class who then take place in some of the most important events before the Civil War, including John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry and the Massacre at the Little Big Horn) starring Errol Flynn, Olivia De Havilland, Raymond Massey (as John Brown, the famous abolitionist), Ronald Reagan (as General Custer), Alan Hale, Sr., William Lundigan, Van Heflin, Gene Reynolds, Henry O'Neill (as Cyrus Holliday), Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, Joe Sawyer, Ward Bond, David Bruce, William Marshall, John Litel, and Harry Cording NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. This poster is from the first of those two re-releases. Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thicker paper backing, it CAN'T be sent rolled (someone could conceivably roll it or try to do so, but we think it would have a strong chance of lessening its condition, so we will only send it in a very large flat package, unless the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage). What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had several horizontal and vertical folds, with some wear along the folds. It had paper loss in the top left blank area where a snipe was roughly removed. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
