A 1951 Realart Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #2 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Frankenstein, the classic 1931 James Whale Universal monster horror thriller ("The monster that terrorized the world!"; "The Man Who Made a Monster"; "Warning! The monster is loose!"; "Based upon the Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Story"; "Adapted by John L. Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. paper loss in the bottom left blank corner; small paper loss and a burn mark in the bottom right blank corner; someone put a piece of very thin 1" clear tape over the bottom of the image background (about 4" wide); it is a very thin and very clear tape and you mostly only notice it when the card is tilted to the light; the tape covers a tear above the "K" of "FRANKENSTEIN", but I am not clear why it was put on the card; it IS NOT very noticeable or distracting; pinholes, creases, smudges and a few tiny tears around the edges of the card; some creases and scuffs across the sky area of the image; the back of the card has brown tape on the back of the top and left borders, but it does not affect the front Learn More about condition grades
