A 1951 Realart Re-release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) The Mummy, the classic 1932 Karl Freund Universal Ancient Egypt romantic monster horror thriller ("It comes to life!"; "The most amazing make-up ever achieved"; "Story by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer") starring Boris Karloff ("The Uncanny"; in the title role as Imhotep the Mummy), Zita Johann, David Manners, Edward Van Sloan, Arthur Byron, Bramwell Fletcher, and Noble Johnson (as The Nubian) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most inserts, especially from before 1970! Condition: very good. It appears the poster may have faded slightly, but I have no other example of the poster to compare it to, and if it is faded at all, it is not in a noticeable or unattractive way. There are eight small pieces of tape on the back of various places in the borders, mending small tears, several of which extend into the edges of the image. It appears that an amateur restorer performed slight touch up to the front of the part of the tears that extended into the edge of the image. There are water stains in the bottom border and some creases and smudges around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster displays quite nicely as it is, but certainly, a talented restorer could easily paperback the poster, and make it look really fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
