Note that this poster features Holger Matthies art of a glittering violin. Holger Matthies is a German graphic artist from the 1970s to the present. Over the course of more than four decades, he has designed more than 1000 posters, making him one of the world's most prolific poster artists. He is best known for his designs for theater and opera productions, exhibitions, concerts, and political satire shows. His portfolio is further swelled by social and political posters, cover designs for magazines and books, as well as numerous LP and CD covers. He has said that, "Posters should be like pocket knives - spring open, dissect and get under the skin." Artist: Holger Matthies Important Added Info: Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is over 32" long (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: very good to fine. The poster has never been folded and it is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
