Artist: Kazuhiko Sano Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned four examples of this three-sheet (two of which were in much lesser condition), and the last one was only in "fair to good" condition, and it sold for $1,655 (although one before that was in "very good" condition and it sold for $4,200!)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had separation and tiny creases in parts of the right vertical fold and almost nowhere on the other folds. It had some scuffing in the silver border above the title and slightly in the center of the word "STAR WARS" (this is where the fold went through the silver). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster in a minimalist style, because it really didn't need much, but they left alone the slight scuffing in the silver area (which is likely on any example of this poster, since silver paint scuffs so easily, and it is not very noticeable or distracting at all).
