An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More)

Strike Me Pink, the 1936 Norman Taurog romantic musical comedy (based on the novel 'Dreamland' by Clarence Budington Kelland; about a tailor who loves a nightclub singer, and he becomes more assertive, and he ends up running an amusement park which gangsters want to get control of) starring Eddie Cantor (in the title role as Eddie Pink), Brian Donlevy, Ethel Merman, Sally Eilers, Harry Parke (billed as "Parkyakarkus"), William Frawley, Jack La Rue, Dona Drake (billed as "Rita Rio", in her first movie!), Charles McAvoy, Don Brodie, Sid Fields, "and the Gorgeous Goldwyn Girls". Note that the highlight of this movie was Dona Drake's spellbinding snake-like dancing performance during the 'The Lady Dances' number, where she was thrown extremely high into the air by Eddie Cantor and is then caught by him on the palm of one hand in another position some distance away!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that the movie is called "Shoot the Chutes" on the back of this still, which was the working title for this movie! Also note that the still is glued to a linen-like backing (we think it is highly likely this was a key book still, and that someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still, no doubt so it could be put in a frame).

Condition: good to very good.
