Joe Louis vs Carnera, the 1935 boxing sports match ("Fall of the Italian Goliath"; "Six rounds of thrill!"; "Better than a Ringside Seat"; "A spine-tingling feature"; "All talking! Action! Thrills! You'll like it!") between Joe Louis ("Sensational Colored Bomber") and Primo Carnera ("Man Mountain of Italy") that took place at the Yankee Stadium in New York City, New York on June 25, 1935. In the days before television was widely available, boxing matches were almost always filmed and then released to movie theaters, and the best matches often were extremely popular with moviegoers.
