An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 37" [69 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) Amor Vendido (literally translates to "Love Sold"), the 1951 Joaquin Pardave Mexican romantic melodrama (about a dancer who kills a thug to protect her crippled lover) starring Fernando Fernandez, Meche Barba (billed as "Mercedes Barba"), Freddy Fernandez, Oscar Pulido, Tona La Negra. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Carlo Vega Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: good to very good. The poster has creases along the folds and some separation in the crossfolds, as well as some tears and areas of paper loss along portions of the blank borders. The art, however, is "all there". It is somewhat fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great).
