eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result DESERT VENGEANCE 3sh '31 Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveDesert Vengeance, the 1931 Louis King romantic cowboy western melodrama ("The screen's greatest outdoor star in a breath-taking all dialog western!"; this was unusual for Buck Jones, because he does not play a hero!; rather he is an outlaw who gets swindled by a husband and wife team who pose as brother and sister, and when he discovers what they did, he virtually imprisons them, and treats them terribly!) starring Buck Jones ("The screen's greatest outdoor star!"), Barbara Bedford, Douglas Gilmore, Edward Brady, Albert J. Smith, Bob Fleming, and Slim Whitaker. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
