An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 43" [75 x 109 cm]) (Learn More) Bel Ami, the 1947 Antonio Momplet Mexican romantic social climbing melodrama (based on a novel by Guy de Maupassant; about an amoral man who finds success with a succession of wealthy women, who he dumps after using them to advance his position) starring Armando Calvo, Gloria Marin, Andrea Palma, Emilia Guiu, and Patricia Moran. Note that this movie was a remake of a German version in 1939 and was made around the same time as a U.S. version, also in 1947, which was called "The Private Affairs of Bel Ami". If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear.
