An Undated (probably 1950s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27 1/4" x 37 1/4" [69 x 95 cm]) (Learn More) Ahi Esta el Detalle (released in the U.S. as "There's the Rub"), the 1940 Juan Bustillo Oro Mexican screwball comedy (about a man who kills a vicious dog, and is then arrested for killing a man with the same name as the dog) starring Cantiflas (billed as "Mario Moreno Cantinflas"), Sara Garcia, Joaquin Pardave, Sofia Alvarez, and Dolores Camarillo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: good. The poster has rippling and slight discoloration sown the left edge (see our image). It has creases and tears along portions of the vertical foldline with a few inches of fragile separation at the top crossfold. This Mexican poster is EXTREMELY fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great, but it might require fairly extensive restoration).
