One of the blackest pages of human history--The enslavement of the SABINE WOMEN."; "The Demands"; "The hell only a woman can know"; "The passions"; "The brutality"; "The outrage"; "Filmed in blazing color") starring Lex Johnson, Wolf Ruvinskis (billed as "William Wolfe"), Tere Velazuez (billed as "Tresa Doude"), Lorena Velazquez (billed as "Lorena Doude"), and Luis Induni. Note that in 1961, a European movie had been made with an extremely similar name, "Il ratto delle sabine", that was released in the U.S. as "Romulus and the Sabines" and also as "Shame of the Sabine Women". The two movies had completely different casts, but because they both shared an English title ("Shame of the Sabine Women"), they are often confused (but you can tell by the cast members billed on the poster which movie the poster is from). Important Added Info: Note that the card has a very minor printing defect, which is a series of faint light blue lines down the left edge of the left blank border. This was a very minor printing defect that occurred during the printing of these cards, and it is found on many 1950s and early 1960s lobby cards, and few collectors consider it much of a defect at all, because it is in the left edge of the blank border, has no effect on the image, and would likely be on all examples of this lobby card.
