An Unfolded Advertising Poster (measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Sunday News was a weekly Sunday supplement to the New York Daily News, the long running daily tabloid newspaper that has been in print since 1919. Published in New York City, the newspaper has received 19 Pulitzer Prizes for its news coverage! It was inserted into many Sunday newspapers during the 1940s and 1950s (it was a way for those newspapers to provide a free magazine to their readers, at no cost to them, because the advertisers paid for it). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a special promotional poster (printed on heavy paper that can't be rolled) that was displayed at newsstands in New York City the week of May 26, 1968. The Sunday News had an article about Bela Lugosi as Dracula (and we imagine they were offering a 14x20 poster within the issue, because that is what this poster advertises). Note that the Sunday News used the term "Poposters" for these posters that they gave away at this time. We have never auctioned this before, or any other similar heavy paper poster from the New York Sunday News. Condition: good to very good.
