An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Export (printed for use in French speaking countries) Locandina Movie Poster (measures 11 3/4" x 27" [30 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) La Tulipe Noire (released in English as "The Black Tulip"), the 1964 Christian-Jaque French/Italian/Spanish swashbuckling romantic action adventure comedy (based on the Alexandre Dumas pere novel; essentially simply a French version of The Scarlet Pimpernel or Zorro; it is set in the era of the French Revolution, and the hero is a French Count who is a masked hero called "The Black Tulip" at night, and the people love him as a "Robin Hood" type of hero) starring Alain Delon (in the title role as The Black Tulip/Count Guillaume de Saint Preux), Virna Lisi, Adolfo Marsillach, Dawn Addams, and Akim Tamiroff NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially Italian movie! Also note that this Italian locandina was printed in Italy, but was intended to be used when the movie was shown in French speaking countries. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. Note that it appears that the poster was somewhat trimmed and there are pinholes and surface paper loss around the edges. We have never seen another example of this poster.
