Some Like It Hot, the 1939 George Archainbaud Atlantic City New Jersey romantic comedy musical ("Based on a play by Ben Hecht and Gene Fowler"; about a fast talking man who runs a sideshow on the famous Boardwalk in Atlantic City, and his friend who has a band and a girl who wants to be a professional singer) starring Bob Hope, Shirley Ross, Gene Krupa (billed as "Gene Krupa and his orchestra"), Una Merkel, Rufe Davis, Bernard Nedell, Harry Barris, and Frank Sully. Of course, everyone is familiar with the 1959 movie with the same name as this, because it is a classic Marilyn Monroe/Billy Wilder comedy. But next to nobody remembers this movie from 20 years prior to it, and first release movie paper from it is extremely rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
