An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) James Garner was an actor from the 1950s to the 2000s. He was a top movie star in the 1960s, including in The Great Escape. He had great success in TV's "Maverick" and "The Rockford Files", and he remained a leading man even into his later years. Some of his other roles include: Grand Prix, The Children's Hour, Boys' Night Out, Wheeler Dealers, Move Over Darling, Marlowe, Support Your Local Sheriff, Murphy's Romance (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Space Cowboys, and The Notebook. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by James Garner! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items. Both we and our consignor feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Also note that although this still was "printed in Great Britain", it has full NSS information. Perhaps it was intended to be used in both countries (we have heard from collectors who saw these color stills in U.S. theaters at the time the movies were released, but we have not heard from any English collectors as to whether they were used in England at that time).
