Wellman telephone lineman romantic love triangle crime murder melodrama ("Nothing to lose but their lives"; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck; a wild story about a telephone lineman who gets in and out of trouble, both on the job and romantically, and he gets caught up in a love triangle, which ends up with his rival murdered, but it turns out that it was an ex-girlfriend who did it!) starring Spencer Tracy, Jack Oakie, Constance Cummings, Arline Judge, and Judith Wood. Note that it is interesting that this movie is set in Long Beach, California, and at the conclusion of the film, there is an earthquake, and the real murderer (the ex-girlfriend) is trapped in the rubble from the quake, and she makes a dying confession that exonerates the leading man! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss on parts of several foldlines. It was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Very sadly, after it was backed, it came in contact with water, and it is now badly stained down the right 6-8", which has greatly rippled the poster and the linen, and caused some of the poster to separate from the linen, with some new tears and small paper loss. It would surely need to be re-backed and "rescued", but since this is quite likely the only example of this poster that has survived, it would seem to be well worth it. But this is a MAJOR defect, so bear this in mind before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
