An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/4" x 19 1/2" [36 x 50 cm]) (Learn More) Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the classic 1954 Michael Curtiz post-World War II sisters holiday singing-and-dancing romantic musical (with classic "Lyrics and music by Irving Berlin"; "The most fabulous music-and-mirth show in motion picture history!"; "Joyous entertainment for every season, any year!!!!") starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, and Dean Jagger. Note that this was the first motion picture to be filmed in VistaVision! Also note that the title song "White Christmas" was first introduced in 1942 in the Fred Astaire/Bing Crosby movie "Holiday Inn", and it proved to be so popular that this movie was made, utilizing part of the plot of that earlier film, and reusing this song, which was now over a decade old, but it proved to be an even greater hit! Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 19 1/2" [36 x 50 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards) and it was slightly trimmed along the left blank border. It was folded into a smaller rectangle and it has a postal stamp and address written on back, indicating that it was once mailed to a theater. Surprisingly, though, the folds are not very noticeable or distracting on the front (see our image). It has a few pinholes in the blank corners and two pieces of tape along the lower edge (not put there for any restoration purpose). The art is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it could be displayed as is, but after a pretty simple linenbacking with some minor restoration the poster will look great!
