An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 46 1/2" x 62 3/4" [118 x 159 cm]) (Learn More)

Les Noces De Sable (released in English-speaking countries as "Daughter of the Sands"), the 1949 Andre Zwoboda French/Moroccan romantic Arabian melodrama (a fable about the love of an Arabian Prince and a Princess, and how they are able to be together in spite of many trials and tribulations) starring Denise Cardi, Itto Bent Lahsen, Larbi Tounsi, Himmoud Brahimi, and narrated by Jean Cocteau (in French) and Duncan Elliott (in English). Note that this sounds like a fascinating movie, but we were able to find little information about it. We especially wonder about Jean Cocteau's connection to the movie. This was after Beauty and the Beast, but before Orpheus, and we wonder what made him do the narration for this movie, since he seemed to have no other connection to it (perhaps he was a good friend of writer/director Andre Zwoboda?). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Georges Allard
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially French movie!

Condition: good to very good. The poster appears to have darkened. It has some tears and faint stains around the edges and pretty minor fold wear. After a relatively simple linenbacking, the poster will look great!
