An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Bela Lugosi was one of the top two horror actors from the 1930s (along with Boris Karloff) in movies such as Dracula, Island of Lost Souls, The Wolf Man, The Body Snatcher, and the Black Cat. His portrayal of Dracula was so memorable, that it caused movie makers to only want him to play similar roles, and in the minds of many horror fans, there is no other Dracula BUT Bela Lugosi! Note that Mr. Lugosi was born in what was then Austria-Hungary, but is now Romania. He passed away in 1956 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by the wife of Bela Lugosi (see more info below). We were consigned this still from the estate of a very longtime autograph collector. He has passed away, so there is no asking him how he acquired it.
UPDATED 10/02/2017: Note that an autograph expert tells us that this 1939 vintage still from Son of Frankenstein was not signed by Bela Lugosi as we originally believed. It was actually signed by Lugosi's wife, who was often responsible for his non-in-person signings. So while this is a 1939 vintage still, it was signed by Bela Lugosi's wife, and not Bela Lugosi himself. Condition: good to very good. There is a diagonal crease across the center of the still and one in the bottom left corner and one in the top right corner. There is a tiny tear in the left border. While the above is noticeable, it is not all that distracting, but bear these defects in mind before bidding on this still. Learn More about condition grades
