An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Amateur Gentleman, the 1926 Sidney Olcott silent boxing horse racing sports gambling romantic melodrama ("Adapted from the story by Jeffrey Farnol"; about the son of a boxer who is framed and sent to prison; when the son inherits a fortune, he uses it to investigate his father's case and proves him innocent, and the movie contains a dramatic horse racing steeplechase sequence) starring Richard Barthelmess, Dorothy Dunbar, Gardner James, Nigel Barrie, and Brandon Hurst. Note that this movie was remade in 1930 with Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. in the lead role. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There are light smudges in the center of the card and also in the middle of the left. There is a smudge in the blank border above Barthelmess' hat and darkening in part of the left blank border. None of these are all that distracting, and otherwise, the card is in wonderful condition!
