An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 10" x 13 3/4" [25 x 35 cm]) (Learn More) Jailhouse Rock, the classic 1957 Richard Thorpe rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) crime prison romantic musical ("His first big dramatic singing role!"; about a young man who is sent to prison for manslaughter, and while there he is helped to become a singer/musician by an older convict, and after he is released, he becomes a major rock star!) starring Elvis Presley ("At His Greatest"), Judy Tyler (who sadly died in an auto accident before the release of the film), Mickey Shaughnessy, Dean Jones, Jennifer Holden, and Anne Neyland NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 13 3/4" [25 x 35 cm]. Condition: poor. The card's top, left, and bottom borders were trimmed off. There is a Canadian censor stamp at middle right, as well as some scuffs and stains scattered in the image. The title area was entirely painted over (because it was used in French Canada, there was a French language title painted over the original English language title, and then later the English language title was re-painted over that foreign language title, and it is very apparent it has been repainted!). There is some slight surface paper loss in Elvis' cheek at middle left and in the right of the image between the guitar and the tiny Elvis image. There are yellowed pieces of tape and tape stains in parts of the borders. There is a large amount of brown paper tape on the back of the card.
