An Unfolded French Travel Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 39 1/2" [60 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Air France: Spain, the 1960s (possibly 1968) French airplane airline aviation travel poster promoting travel to Spain aboard Air France, and featuring abstract artwork by Georges Mathieu. Mathieu was a French abstract painter, art theorist and member of the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He is considered one of the fathers of European lyrical abstraction, a trend of informalism.

Condition: good to very good. There are some 2" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster with some repaired with tape from the back and there are minor creases and scuffs scattered throughout.
