An Original Vintage Folded Special Movie Poster (measures 39 1/2" x 54 3/4" [100 x 139 cm]) (Learn More)

For Love of Columbine, the 1913 Oscar Apfel silent romantic comedy short (about a theater boy with a crush on a beautiful older woman but instead of pursuing her he helps her to reconcile with her husband!) starring Irving Cummings, Irene Howley (in the title role as Columbine), George Siegmann, and Edna Cunningham. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Artist: Harry Bedos
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a different example of this special poster (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this second example!Note that this is a VERY unusual poster from the early 1910s! In the earliest days of movie distribution, the studios (especially The Vitagraph Company) temporarily hit on the idea of creating one poster for use in several European countries, and to make that work, they put the title of the movie in three different languages at the top of the poster! The languages are Italian, German, and French. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an extremely early movie poster!

Condition: fair to good. The poster is fragile. There is much darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded, and there are some tears in that area. There is also fold and border wear. Please bear the above in mind before bidding on this very rare poster.
