An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Silly Symphony, the 1933 Walt Disney animated animation cartoon musical comedy ("In Technicolor"; "Mickey Mouse presents a new Walt Disney Silly Symphony") stock poster for Walt Disney Silly Symphonies NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in the very early 1930s (likely 1932 and part of 1933), United Artists had Walt Disney create individual posters for the entries in the "Silly Symphony" series. After a time, Walt Disney solely made stock one-sheets for the Silly Symphony cartoons (likely because few theaters ordered the individual posters). Both the individual posters and the stock posters are EXTREMELY rare, and very few examples are known to exist of any of these posters. Also note that this specific poster has a pretty wild image of a bunch of dancing musical notes. One of the notes is a much larger yellow circle (no doubt to accommodate the "IN TECHNICOLOR"), but note the differences between the other dancing notes. Five of them have black "hair", with yellow faces, but one of them has an all blackface with exaggerated white lips! Could this be a "black" note, and was somebody in Walt Disney Studios integrating their posters? Condition: very good. The poster had paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds. There was a thin line of paper loss down much of the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline. There were some pinholes, creases, and tears around the edges of the poster and a 2" slightly diagonal tear to the right of the bottom crossfold in the green background area. Other than the minor defects detailed above, the poster was in surprisingly good condition, especially considering its age. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
