Date Sold 2/12/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/4"; 28 pages) (Learn More) More Than Ever the Mark of Leadership, the 1975 Warner Bros. Campaign book sent to theater owners to encourage them to play Warner Bros. Movies. This book contains 28 pages of full color two-page spreads on movies that Warner Bros. released in 1975, including Dog Day Afternoon, Lisztomania, All the President's Men, Barry Lyndon, Outlaw Josey Wales, The Stuntman, and more! Note that most two-page spreads feature color stills from the movies they represent, as well as a credit listing, and a short synopsis. Also note that while some of the ads are similar or the same as that of the finished one-sheet movie poster, most of the ads have completely different art or design, most of which we have never ever seen before (including A Star is Born, The Stuntman, Outlaw Josey Wales, and Dog Day Afternoon). Also note that this campaign book announces a movie called "Bogart Slept Here" directed by Mike Nichols and written by Neil Simon. This was an abandoned project, originally intended to star Robert De Niro, but before long, both Nichols and De Niro had quit the project, and it was abandoned for two years, when it was resurrected with Herbert Ross as the director and Richard Dreyfuss as the leading man, under the title "The Goodbye Girl", which won Dreyfuss the Best Actor Oscar. Even though Simon and Nichols did not make this movie, they apparently bore no ill feeling, as they worked together in 1988 on "Biloxi Blues". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the cover has a die-cut of the Warner Bros. logo. Also note that we have provided an image of the front cover of the brochure and the inside. Condition: very good. There is surface paper loss on the front and back edges of the spine, but otherwise, the campaign book is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
