An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Hitch-Hiker, the 1953 Ida Lupino serial killer crime film noir ("Who'll be his next victim... You?"; "-there's Death in his upraised Thumb!"; "Screenplay by Collier Young and Ida Lupino"; based on a true story, about two men who go fishing and pick up a hitchhiker on the way, but he turns out to be a crazy psychopathic killer, and he plays a bizarre game of cat and mouse with them) starring Frank Lovejoy, Edmond O'Brien, William Talman, Jose Torvay, and Sam Hayes. Note that nowadays the word "hitchhiker" is written as a single word, but back in 1953, it was hyphenated, so that is how the title was written on the posters and in the movie itself. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good. There are some creases and faint smudges around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
