Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

The Adventures of Jane Arden, the 1939 Terry O. Morse detective newspaper crime thriller ("That daring girl reporter solves a baffling murder case."; "Based on the popular action cartoon strip!"; "Based on the popular cartoon feature!"; "Based on the comic strip created by Monte Barrett & Russell E. Ross") starring Rosella Towne (in the title role as Jane Arden), William Gargan, James Stephenson, Benny Rubin, and Dennie Moore. Note that the comic strip this movie was based on began in 1928, and in 1937, it was given a radio show as well. This movie was intended to be the first in a series, but that did not happen, for reasons we do not know, because this was apparently a solid B-movie. Also note that star Rosella Towne lived a long life, and passed away in 2014 at the age of 96.

Condition: fine. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster was in excellent condition prior to linenbacking; there were a few pinholes and creases in the borders and slight wear on the foldlines; the above defects were well corrected, but looking closely you can see some tiny dots of surface paper loss in the right half of the top foldline; if one desired it, any restorer could easily touch up these very tiny areas; Overall, the poster was in excellent condition prior to linenbacking and looks quite nice!
