She will forever be best remembered as the girl who James Cagney hit in the face with a grapefruit in "Public Enemy". Some of her other best roles were in Frankenstein, Lady Killer, Great Guy, and The Front Page. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 81. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Mae Clarke! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic!
