An Original Vintage Unfolded World War II Poster (measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Victory! -And Non-stop Work Will Speed It!, the 1942 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Let's go, everybody, keep 'em firing!") encouraging people to help with the war effort, and featuring art of a tank, an airplane and of Uncle Sam's outstretched hand making the V for Victory sign! Note that the poster was produced by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors Corporation of Lansing, Michigan (during World War II, Oldsmobile pitched in and made war machinery). Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable group of around 100 guaranteed authentic mostly war posters (around 75 war posters, plus 25 others, including political ones) mostly dating from before 1900 through 1945, with 15 from after that date! These were originally acquired by an archive decades ago, and they have been in storage ever since, until they were recently consigned to us. Many of these are the sorts of posters that you can find reproductions of on the Internet, but finding guaranteed originals like these is incredibly difficult (years can go by before these are offered for sale or at auction). This is a very rare opportunity to purchase any of these more than 100 posters! Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few tiny tears, creases, and smudges in the borders. Someone put paper tape on the back of all the borders to reinforce them, and the tape has caused the upper right corner to be slightly rippled (see our image). Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition, especially considering its age. After a relatively simple linenbacking, the poster will look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
