Important Added Info: Note that first release 1938 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We only auctioned two lobby cards and two three-sheets from this movie until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had some tears and small paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold and in the right half of the top fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had a 6" vertical tear in the left of the top border, and semi-circular paper loss in the upper right border, extending into the background next to the bottom of the "Y" of "McCOY". It had some pinholes and tears in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
