An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) The Gay Desperado, the 1936 Rouben Mamoulian south-of-the-border Mexico singing cowboy western romantic musical kidnapping comedy ("There's song!"; "There's love!"; "There's action!"; "Every two years a great picture comes along... Here's entertainment that tops them all!"; "The surprise musical hit of the year!"; produced by Mary Pickford; a wacky tale of an opera singer who is playing a singing cowboy, and a major Mexican bandito kidnaps him, and a rich heiress, so they can teach him about the American movie gangsters who he wants to be like!) starring Nino Martini, Ida Lupino, Leo Carrillo, Mischa Auer, Harold Huber, and Joe Dominguez NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: fair. The poster has tears in the top right corner, extending into the background, and there are many light brown water stains scattered throughout the poster. Clearly, this poster has VERY significant defects, but it is also true that it is likely the only surviving example of this poster, and it is fortunate that almost all of the poster is completely "there". If the water stains can be removed through chemical means, then this poster will not require much paint restoration, and it will look great after proper linenbacking and restoration!
