She served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1979 to 1985 and was an Ambassador to the U.N., however, perhaps she is best remembered as being the first female vice presidential candidate for a major political party when she ran for the office alongside Walter Mondale in 1984. Ferraro passed away in 2011 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Geraldine Ferraro! Our consignor (who was a diplomat for the U.S. in exotic locations) obtained this autograph through personal correspondence with Miss Ferraro (in the case of this letter, it was sent to the secretary of the American embassy in Beijing, China). Many of the people she corresponded with specifically mentioned that they were impressed by her exotic address and they seem to write longer responses because of that! Condition: very good. There is a piece of tape on the back of two corners that has bled through to the front. Learn More about condition grades
