The company was founded by George Shawk, Enos Barton and Elisha Gray. A wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T for most of its lifespan, it served as the primary equipment manufacturer, supplier, and purchasing agent for the Bell System from 1881 to 1984. The company was also known for the Mirrophonic Sound System used in movie theaters in the 1930s and early 1940s. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. It is printed on a heavy cardboard stock and must be sent in a flat package. Condition: good. The card has slightly bent and it has some slight discoloration throughout the surface and back, and there is some discoloration at lower left (see our image). There are a few chips around the edges.
