An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Walt Disney's Pinocchio, the classic 1940 Hamilton Luske & Ben Sharpsteen Walt Disney animated animation puppet cartoon musical fantasy adventure ("Hi-Diddle Dee Dee!"; "Full length feature production"; "Jiminy Cricket - what a show!"; "In Multiplane Technicolor") featuring the voices of Dickie Jones (in the title role as Pinocchio), Cliff Edwards (as Jiminy Cricket), Christian Rub (as Gepetto), Evelyn Venable (as the Blue Fairy), Mel Blanc, Walter Catlett (as J. Worthington Foulfellow), Frankie Darro (as Lampwick), and Charles Judels (as Stromboli) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the owner of this poster has had it for over 35 years. At that time he took it to a framer who glued it to a heavy board to make it lay flat in the frame. The poster was NOT dry-mounted. The framer used some sort of glue in various places around the edges to hold it in place, but there is no glue in the center of the poster, and it is partially lifting from the board in some areas. I am sure it would be a simple job for any restorer or a talented amateur to remove the poster from the board. I don’t know what sort of glue was used, but it does not seem to have had the slightest negative effect on the front of the poster! Condition: very good. the poster was partially glued to a heavy board ; there is a piece missing from the lower right corner that is roughly 2" x 2"; there is a 1" x 1/4" piece missing that extends just into the tip of Jiminy Cricket's shoe and some small paper loss in the lower left blank corner; there were clean tears around the edges of the poster that are now held into place by the glue on the back; there are some small brown stains in the upper left of the poster, some in the cane next to the "P" of "Pinocchio" and some extending into the "P"; there are others beneath the "P", straight below and to the left; there are a few smudges around the edges of the poster and a few faint scuff marks throughout the poster. It may seem that this poster has a lot of defects to be in "very good" condition. However, it is completely unfolded, which is a big plus. And the person who put this poster on a board did nothing to attempt to restore it, other than to mend the tears with the glue from the back, and to crudely draw in the two missing areas in the bottom border. I am 100% sure any talented restorer could easily remove this poster from the board, and paperback it, restoring the minor defects in the process, and the poster would look great, and it would have very little actual restoration. Or, I could easily see someone being happy displaying it just as it is! Learn More about condition grades
