An Original Vintage Theatrical Brazilian 7" x 9 1/2" [18 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Blonde Venus, the classic 1932 Josef von Sternberg woman-sacrifices-all-including-her-integrity-for-her-sick-husband-who-turns-on-her romantic melodrama starring Marlene Dietrich, Herbert Marshall, Cary Grant, Gene Morgan, Dickie Moore, Francis Sayles, and Sidney Toler (in an early 9th billed role). Note that this was one of the seven movies that Dietrich made with director von Sternberg, and it is one of the best remembered, after "The Blue Angel" (which was the only one of the seven which was not a U.S. movie, because von Sternberg made it in Germany, in both languages). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 7" x 9 1/2" [18 x 24 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Note that it has a stamp from Brazil on the back, so it could be a Brazilian still, but we think it is also quite possible it is a U.S. still. It also has a date stamp from 1975, but we think that was added many years later, and that the still itself is from 1932. Condition: fair to good. There are many creases scattered throughout the still. There is surface paper loss in the top right background area. There are some creases, small tears, and faint staining in parts of the borders (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
