An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; contains 33 stills) (Learn More) The Monkey's Uncle, the 1965 Robert Stevenson Walt Disney family comedy ("Look, Dad - NO ENGINE!"; "Merlin smashes the laugh barrier in his man-powered flying contraption!"; "You'll go APE when Uncle Merlin adopts a teen-age chimp [by Order of the Court]"; "He's got the BRAIN He's got the BRAWN She's got the BEAT...and they've all got STANLEY"; "Special Title Song Treatment Features The Beach Boys with Annette"; "More fun than a barrel of people!") starring Tommy Kirk (in the title role as Merlin Jones), Annette Funnicello (billed as "Annette"), Leon Ames, Frank Faylen, Arthur O'Connell, Harry Antrim, Gage Clarke, and Judy the Chimpanzee (uncredited, in the title role as Stanley) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is something that Walt Disney experimented with in the 1960s and early 1970s! They made a horizontal presskit with an artwork cover image, and inside they had many original stills from the movie lightly glued in to blank interior pages. They were then sent to theater owners to try to get them to book the movie! Obviously, the new owner of this could take the stills and sell them all individually, but we doubt many of these early "presskits" still survive intact!
