Then one day, broke and down on his luck, he masterminds the biggest gamble of his life ...the robbery of the Deauville Casino.") starring Isabelle Corey (billed as "Isabel Corey"), Daniel Cauchy, Roger Duchesne (in the title role as Robert 'Bob' Montagne), Guy Decomble, and Andre Garet Artist: d'apres Jean Mascii Important Added Info: Note that the art on this poster says "d'apres Jean Mascii". This either means that the Belgian printer obtained the French printing plates and used that art, or that an unknown Belgian artist re-drew the art in the style of Mascii. If anyone knows for certain either way, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More UPDATED 05/27/2013: Note that we inadvertently had '82 in the Auction Title when this poster is from the first release in 1956. We have updated the auction accordingly. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster had two horizontal folds and one vertical one with some creases and scuffs on the foldlines and minor wear in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
