A story of triumph!"; about the boyhood times of Thomas Alva Edison) starring Mickey Rooney (in the title role as Thomas Edison), Fay Bainter, George Bancroft, Virginia Weidler, Eugene Pallette, and Spencer Tracy (in an uncredited cameo role; he had already been cast to play Edison in the sequel 'Edison, the Man'!!)
