They started working on stage together in 1935 and graduated to radio, television and film. Click on Lou Costello's name to learn much more about them! Some of their movies include: One Night in the Tropics, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, Hold That Ghost, and Who Done It. Abbott passed away in 1974 at the age of 78, and Costello passed away in 1959 at the age of 52. Important Added Info: Note that this news photo, which measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm], shows Abbott and Costello arriving in court to testify that a man named Mike Potson, who is pictured behind them, had cheated them out of $85,000 gambling at gin rummy! Obviously, $85,000 in 1948 was immensely more than it is today. This is one of many cheating scandals that occurred with Hollywood celebrities in the 1930s and 1940s. Condition: very good.
