Some people might disagree with my describing this movie as "classic", but I think it is hard to argue that this is one of the finest of its type of movie! Artist: Reynold Brown Important Added Info: Note that this movie returned to theaters in 1961, two years after its first release, and additional one-sheets were printed for this re-release, but they used the same image from the 1959 poster, only altering the copyright information at the bottom. This is only the second time we have auctioned this poster, probably because the re-release played in far fewer theaters than the first release, and they may have still had original posters to use for it, which would account for the extreme rarity of this poster. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of several folds, with pinholes, smudges, and stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
