Date Sold 12/21/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) the 1974 re-packaging of The Green Hornet (also released as "Kato"), the 1966 William Beaudine & Norman Foster crime costumed superhero fantasy action thriller ("Written by Jerry Thomas"; a full-length feature version of episodes of the TV show, where Bruce Lee's Kato character was prominent) starring Bruce Lee ("Son of the Dragon"; as Kato), Van Williams (in the title role as The Green Hornet), Wende Wagner, Lloyd Gough, and Walter Brooke. This "feature" was made to cash in on Bruce Lee's recent tremendous success with "Enter the Dragon" and his Hong Kong martial arts movies, and multiple one-sheets were made to promote it, and one even includes an image of Bruce Lee holding nunchucks, which comes from Enter the Dragon and NOT from The Green Hornet TV series, which is the height of deceptiveness! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that there are three styles of one-sheet for this film. One has "The Green Hornet" in green letters (and "Bruce Lee" in red), another has "The Green Hornet" and "Bruce Lee" in white letters. Finally, there is one with a title of "Kato in the Green Hornet" (and there are even two versions of this poster with slight differences in color and text definition). We do not know why they created so many different posters (unless they were trying to make people think they were different films). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Otherwise, know that the example we offer here is the solid green title! Condition: good to very good. The poster was hand-folded vertically slightly off-center. There are light ratings stamp scattered in various areas and there is light fold and border wear (more so along the lower horizontal fold and lower vertical foldline). There are light oval-shaped creases along portions of the vertical foldline (see our image) that were caused by the machine folding process itself (so they are not a defect). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a simple linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
