An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (measures 13 1/4" x 19") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) thriller ("The master of suspense brings you his masterpiece!"; "Based on the short story by Cornell Woolrich"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a man who breaks his leg and is forced to stay at his home until he's better; during this time he observes his neighbors and does some voyeuristic detective work) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; as Jeff), Grace Kelly (as Lisa), Wendell Corey (as Detective Lt. Doyle), Thelma Ritter (as Stella), Raymond Burr (as Lars Thorwald), Judith Evelyn (as Miss Lonelyhearts), Georgine Darcy (as Miss Torso), Jesslyn Fax (as Miss Hearing Aid), Rand Harper, Havis Davenport (Harper and Davenport played the "newlyweds"), and Ross Bagdasarian (as the "Songwriter"). Note that Raymond Burr had appeared in movies for seven years before this, but always had minor roles, usually playing the "heavy". Important Added Info: Note that this Italian photobusta measures 13 1/4" x 19". Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good to fine. The poster had pinholes in the corners and a few creases and scuffs in the lower part of Kelly's dress. There is a tiny area of surface paper loss in the bottom center of the poster in the tiny credits. The person who mounted the poster simply backed it without restoration, but fortunately it was in quite nice condition and its minor defects are not distracting. Learn More about condition grades
