The Rescue, the 1929 Herbert Brenon romantic love triangle South Seas romantic infidelity adventure melodrama (based on the novel by Joseph Conrad; about an English adventurer who gets involved with islanders on a South Seas island, and also gets involved with a sailing English couple, and he has an affair with the man's wife; interestingly, while they are having the affair, the husband's boat is destroyed and the man is killed, and the hero and the wife COULD be together, but the man realizes what he has caused and sends the woman away, deciding to become a hermit) starring Ronald Colman ("In His First Starring Picture"), Lili Damita (billed as "Lily Damita"), Alfred Hickman, Theodore von Eltz, and John Davidson

Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 12 1/2" [25 x 32 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. The card was neatly trimmed to 10" x 12 1/2". This affected a blue line across the bottom, and a tiny bit of the right edge of the border book art. Otherwise, the card was in excellent condition prior to being trimmed. Someone glued it to a black mat that measures 11" x 14" and displayed it that way, and certainly, the new owner of this card could do the same, or they could choose to have restoration performed.
