What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had extra partial horizontal folds near to the regular ones, with some small tears and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of those folds. It had paper loss at the crossfolds and some scattered down the vertical fold. It had pinholes, stains, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the poster would greatly benefit from additional restoration, either with or without re-backing it.
