An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Locandina Movie Poster (measures 13 1/4" x 27 3/4" [34 x 70 cm]) (Learn More) L'Avventura (released in English-speaking countries either under the original title and as "Michelangelo Antonioni's L'Avventura [The Adventure]", and "The Fling"), the classic 1960 Michelangelo Antonioni French/Italian romantic love triangle mystery crime thriller starring Monica Vitti, Gabriele Ferzetti, Lea Massari, Renzo Ricci, Dominique Blanchar, and James Addams. Note that director Antonioni had been making movies for over ten years before this one (mostly shorts and documentaries), but he completely surprised the world with this groundbreaking movie, which moved at an exceptionally slow pace, with little worry about advancing the plot. It had a major influence on movies all over the world during the 1960s. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Also note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. Condition: good to very good. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines and pinholes in the corners. There was bleed through from a stamp on the back of the poster, in the top center, in the image background. Other than the above defects, the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking.
