Two advertise Corticelli silk and a dress pattern. ("You too ~ can look as bewitching as Irene Castle", "Just get the Corticelli silk and the Dress Pattern", "Easy and simple to make - and so reasonable", "Irene Castle, Popular Screen Star says: Corticelli silk can be made into lovely dresses - for every occasion at a very moderate price"; "Come in - and look around"). Another is for the movie The Firing Line, and advertises dresses in the Ladies' Home Journal ("The beautiful gowns and dresses worn by Irene Castle in this film are pictured and described in the July Ladies' Home Journal"). The Firing Line, the 1919 Charles Maigne silent romantic melodrama (based on the novel by Robert W. Chambers) starring Irene Castle, Gladys Coburn, Anne Cornwall, Charles Craig and Rudolph De Cordova NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The slides are in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
