Band of Angels, the 1957 Raoul Walsh Civil War Louisiana historical slavery romantic melodrama ("He bought her - she was his!... A beautiful slave who became mistress of his plantation!"; "He came to the Bayou a vagabond - with $2,000,000 in gold! In his New Orleans mansion he kept a stunning prisoner that he never touched! He knew the greed at Rio Bongo, the debauchery at Pointe du Loup, the treachery at Belle Helene - but nobody really knew him!"; "All the passionate violence -- All the lush splendor that flows from the tumultuous best-seller by the Pulitzer Prize author of 'All the King's Men'!"; based on the book 'Band of Angels' by Robert Penn Warren) starring Clark Gable ("as the man who took the strange name of Hamish Bond"), Yvonne De Carlo ("as Manty, the girl who thought she was a Louisiana belle..."), Sidney Poitier ("as Rau-Ru"), Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Rex Reason, Patric Knowles, Torin Thatcher, Andrea King, and Ray Teal

Important Added Info: Note that all of these stills are reference set photos. All of them have a visible clapboard in the image that gives the details about the movie. The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time after the set was taken down. SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 20 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills.

Condition: very good. Each has some degree of creases and border defects. Five stills have three punch holes which is probably because they were keybook stills.
